 I dag er det mange forskjellige typer gradssystemer over hele verden, inkludert symbolske grader, kapittelgrader, historiske grader og mer. Standarden, allment akseptert frimurerritual har tre grader. De er Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, og den høyeste rangeringen som noen kan tjene, Master Mason.

 Et vanlig alternativ, Scottish Rite, har 33 grader, inkludert disse tre standardrangeringene og 30 andre tilleggsgrader, som vi viser nedenfor. Standard frimurergradene De tre standard frimurergradene kommer fra frimureriets blå loger. Disse gradene kalles Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft og Master Mason.
